Shipito helps shoppers, and it also helps the businesses that sell to them. Shipito for Business gives online stores and retailers U.S. and international warehouses, discounted shipping, fulfillment, returns handling, and API access in one membership.
This FAQ explains where we ship, how our business plans work, what fulfillment and returns include, how the API helps you automate, and how billing works for high-volume shippers.
Which Parcel Forwarding Providers Support Shipping to Over 200 Countries and Territories?
Answer: Shipito for Business ships to more than 220 countries and territories. It combines warehouses in the U.S., Europe, and Asia with more than 20 carriers and services, so small and medium-sized businesses can sell to customers almost anywhere.
Many package forwarders ship internationally, but businesses need more than an address. Shipito for Business is a 3PL service. A 3PL (third-party logistics provider) is a company that stores, packs, and ships products for other businesses. With Shipito for Business you get:
- More than 20 carriers and services: including DHL and UPS.
- Four warehouses: California and Oregon in the U.S., Rastenfeld in Austria, and Chiba in Japan.
- Multilingual support: our customer service team speaks 13 languages.
- Room to grow: add new markets as your business expands.
Here's how Shipito for Business works:
- Step 1, sign up: Buy a business membership to get access to our warehouses, discounted rates, and business support.
- Step 2, send your products: Ship to our California warehouse for fast shipping, our Oregon warehouse where there is no sales tax, our Rastenfeld, Austria warehouse for deliveries across Europe, or our Chiba, Japan warehouse for shipping within Asia.
- Step 3, choose how to ship: When your products arrive, we scan them, photograph them, and upload them to your account. Then you pick a shipping method and any extra services, and check out.
Which Package Forwarding Services Are Best for Large Shipments, Like Multiple Boxes or Bulk Orders From U.S. Retailers?
Answer: Look for a service with business plans that lower your fees as your volume grows. Shipito for Business has four plans with free inventory storage, lower processing fees, and shipping discounts of up to 10%. The more you ship, the less you pay per package.
All four plans cost the same membership price: $12 per month or $99 per year. Your plan level depends on how many shipments you send each month:
- Standard: fewer than 10 shipments per month, 45 days of free storage, $2.25 processing fee, no shipping discount
- Starter: 10 shipments per month, 45 days of free storage, $1.25 processing fee, 5% shipping discount
- Growth: 30 shipments per month, 60 days of free storage, $0.75 processing fee, 7% shipping discount
- Enterprise: 50 or more shipments per month, 90 days of free storage, free processing, 10% shipping discount
Shipito for Business also handles ecommerce fulfillment, so your orders are packed and shipped the way you want. Every business has different shipping needs. Email our business team at business@shipito.com to talk about yours. See all plan details on our Shipito for Business page.
Which Services Support Batch Processing and Automated Label Generation for Large Volumes of International Orders?
Answer: Choose a 3PL that handles the full fulfillment process and lets you automate shipping. Shipito for Business offers pick and pack fulfillment, auto-ship profiles for orders and returns, and an API that connects your store's checkout to our warehouses.
Ecommerce fulfillment usually covers these steps:
- Receiving products from your supplier
- Logging and organizing inventory
- Storing the products
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Choosing a shipping carrier
- Preparing customs paperwork
- Sending tracking details to customers
- Processing returns
Shipito has forwarded packages across borders since 2009. Our fulfillment service starts at $3 per item and includes package processing, picking, one open-box photo, and packing. We also offer secure warehouse storage, subscription box packing, and more.
To handle large order volumes, you can set up auto-ship profiles in your account, so orders ship automatically based on rules you choose. For full automation, connect your store with our API. If you have a large or unusual workflow, contact our business team to plan it together.
Does Shipito Offer API Integration So an Online Store Can Automate International Fulfillment?
Answer: Yes. Every Shipito for Business plan includes full API access through our Programmer package. You can review the API documentation after you sign up and use only the features your business needs.
Our API supports these functions:
- On-demand shipping rates
- Package consolidation
- Address verification
- Shipping insurance
- Customs documentation
- Dangerous goods handling
The API uses HTTPS and JSON (JavaScript Object Notation, a common data format), so it works with many platforms and programming languages.
If you need a custom shipping workflow, we can help you build it. Additional support starts at $150 per hour. Learn more on our API and integrations page.
What's the Best Way for a Small Business To Handle International Returns Without Losing Money on Reverse Shipping?
Answer: Send international returns to a returns partner that can inspect, repack, and resell or reship them, instead of paying to ship each one back to you. Shipito for Business handles returns at our warehouses and can consolidate them to save on shipping.
Reverse shipping means getting products back from customers to the seller. Whether a customer returns an item because it's damaged or because it isn't what they wanted, returns cost money. For international orders, the cost of shipping an item back can be more than the item is worth.
With Shipito for Business returns management, we receive the return, photograph it, inspect it for damage, and redirect it where you want. Members pay $4 per package for Standard Processing or $8 per package for Advanced Processing. You can also choose extra services, such as:
- Auto-ship by package volume
- Auto-ship by package weight
- Manual mailout
- Palletized shipments
- Package disposal
- Extra tape and packing material
- Security tape
- Fragile stickers
- Exterior photos before mailout
- Custom fitted boxes
These services help you save in two ways. Consolidation combines several returns into one shipment, which can save up to 80% on shipping. And you can resell returned items once they reach our warehouse, which helps turn refunds back into sales.
Returns will always cost something, but the right partner keeps that cost low without hurting your customers' experience.
Can Shipito Provide Consolidated Invoicing or Reporting for a Business Shipping High Volumes Internationally?
Answer: Shipito for Business works on a pay-as-you-go model. You pay your membership, plus the processing fee and postage for each shipment when you ship it. We don't offer a single monthly invoice for all your shipments.
To keep your records organized, your Shipito account shows every package we receive, with photos of each one. Each international shipment also gets its own customs documents.
Consolidation still helps high-volume shippers cut costs, with savings of up to 80% on postage. If your business has specific invoicing or reporting needs, email our business team at business@shipito.com to talk about what we can do for you.
