Privacy policy
Shipito will not share, rent or lease your personal information to any third party for their independent use or benefit. Information we collect from you is used to process your orders, ship products, verify accounts, which is basically what we need to do our job. We don't save or store credit card numbers to further protect your security and privacy.
1. Shipito is not responsible for the actual shipping service, which is chosen by customer (FedEx, USPS, etc.). All terms and conditions of selected shipping service (USPS, Fedex, etc.) applies to customer. Customer is responsible for customs duty in his/her own country and all shipping charges (even if assessed later by carrier); said duty or charges are in addition to the fees earned by Shiptio for its package/mail forwarding service. Shipito serves as a shipping agent for customer. Shipito's responsibility for shipped packages shall not exceed the amount of handling fees (excluding actual shipping fees).
Shipito does not guarantee delivery of packages which do not comply with the import regulations of the country to which they are sent or U.S. export regulations. It is a responsibility of customer to find out the regulations for their shipments.
2. Storage of packages: INDIVIDUAL PACKAGES must be ready (paid postage and completed customs info) for forwarding within 7 days. Shipito will notify customer about a new package by email. Customer must pay postage fees within 7 days. Otherwise Shipito.com will charge $1 (for package up to 30 lbs), $2 (up to 70 lbs), $3 (up to 100 lbs), $4 (up to 150 lbs) or $5 (over 150 lbs) per day for storage of each package. VIRTUAL MAILBOXES allow free storage for up to 45 days. Consolidated packages must be mailed within 3 days after consolidation. Otherwise above storage fee applies. You cannot place any special requests on already consolidated package (photos, etc.). Such requests have to placed on individual packages before consolidation or through special requests placed on consolidation page.
3. Individual packages are sent in their original packaging (as they are received). When ordering from online stores be aware that especially big purchases might be divided into several packages. You will be paying $8.50 per each individual package. If the package must be divided into two packages (for example oversize package) you will pay $8.50 for each package. Individual packages do not allow for consolidation.
4. VIRTUAL MAILBOX - allows for consolidation of packages. We will take several packages and consolidate into a larger box (26 x 13 x 13 inches, USPS limit box). This way customers saves on postage. Shipito is not responsible for missing content of any package due to the consolidation request. Customer has an option to let Shipito.com check content of each package during consolidation request (through special request) to make sure all items are included. Shipito doesn't recommend consolidation of packages bigger than USPS limit. Big and heavy packages increase risk of damages. Shipito will consolidate bigger package only on customer special request, but will not bear any responsibility for shipping damages. Consolidated packages should be mailed out in three days otherwise storage fees apply. If you ask for re-consolidation of already consolidated package the fee will be charged again.
5. Customer must make payments for postage and deposit payments from his/her own account(s), the account must be under the same name as the Shipito.com account. Shipito.com reserves the right to put account on security hold due to the discrepancy on any account. Such hold can be for any period up to 45-60 days which Shipito investigates if payment is legitimate. Customer is required to provide copy of two valid identification documents and notarized form 1583. Duplicate accounts are not allowed (for example multiple accounts all paid from the same PayPal account).
New accounts have monthly spending limit set up. You can see your current spending limit on your account. Your limit will rise as you will use our services (you will get $10 increase for every sent package or assisted purchase). You can always send us a wire transfer if you want to make bigger purchase (deposit paid by wire transfer is not included in the monthly spending limit) . You can also increase the limit by providing notarized form 1583 and two copies of your id (see the form 1583 on your account). We do not allow duplicate accounts.
6. Customer must supply mailbox/suite number on each package . Once your account is activated you will receive information about the address and box number in which to send your packages. Customer must immediately notify Shipito in case incorrect package is received. Shipito will reimburse the customer for shipping to the correct address.
7. Customer authorizes Shipito to open packages if there is a suspicion about content of the package (illegal goods) or any practical reason (package is damaged or oversized and needs to be re-packed).
8. Payment for virtual mailbox is not refundable. Payment for deposit or postage is refundable. We charge $5 administrative fee per each individual payment/order refunded and cost of refund (for example bank fee for wire transfer).
